Jewish Adult Education Classes

We are excited to announce the new round of Jewish adult education classes being held by our very own Rabbi Gardner. These classes are available to non-members. All are encouraged to sign up and participate. Contact the office to register.

A Deeper Look at the Arab-Israeli Conflict

A look at both sides of the conflict, and an attempt to understand why people see it in such different ways.                                                                                                                      Time: Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 PM Dates: October 29th, 2014, November 5th, 12th, 19th, December 3rd and 10th.                                                                                                          Cost: Members free, Non-members $18

Reading the Book of Judges

Time: Thursdays from 1:30-2:30 PM. Dates: October 30th, November 6th, 13th, 20th, December 4th and 11th.                                                                                                                      Cost: Members free, Non-members $18

Beginning Biblical Hebrew

If you do not have a copy, please purchase The First Hebrew Primer, 3rd ed. Those who know their letters will begin with Rabbi Gardner. Those who do not will learn with Ruth Katzen. We will learn grammar and vocabulary and will soon be reading from the Bible.

Movie Night

A look at some early Jewish movies (and TV shows) with havdalah and a discussion of what they say about the place of the Jews in the majority culture.                                  Time: Saturday evenings with Havdalah at 6:30 Dates: November 8th, 22nd, December 13th, and 27th                                                                                                                             Cost: Free
