Thank you to everyone who joined us Monday night as we honored the lives lost in the tragic synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh.
We had 500 people of all faiths crowd into our sanctuary to hear a message of faith, hope and love.
Thank you to everyone who said the Mourner’s Kaddish with us. The mourner’s kaddish is said in honor of the deceased, but makes no mention of death. Instead, it focuses on life and praising God. In reciting it, we commit ourselves to faith and the honor of family and individuals of the Jewish faith. A fitting message for our times.
We also heard the Shofar sound at the end of the Healing Service. It is a clarion wake-up call to us all; a chilling and soul-piercing reminder that God expects us all to take a stand against this outrage of hatred.
