Beth Shalom’s Brotherhood keeps the roof on our synagogue. The guys assist in building the sukkah for sukkot, provide the meals for our Simchat Torah deli and assist with general building maintenance. Brotherhood also plants, maintains and harvests Beth Shalom’s garden.
The president of Brotherhood is Bob Singer. If you want to get involved, you can contact him at email@example.com.
The brotherhood will be having a meeting at Beth Shalom Synagogue on Jan. 10th at 9 a.m., 2021. It will be a live meeting, with masks required, but we will try and accommodate anyone who would prefer Zoom. (Try is the key word) We will be discussing installing wiring for the new fire alarm system and camera systems. We are in need of people who are willing to help us do the install. Even if you don’t think that you have any special skills in installing wire, don’t worry we will show you what to do! We also will be discussing the direction of the brotherhood. Under COVID-19, we haven’t had the opportunity to meet and do projects together. The general purpose of the brotherhood is to assist in upkeep of the building, build and take down the Succah and assist Sisterhood. Who can belong to the Brotherhood? Any man or young man who wants to! We generally have yearly dues, but we have voted to wave dues for 2021. If you have questions, please contact Bob Singer at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 225-978-4749. The Brotherhood had a brief meeting on Dec. 6th There was a very brief Brotherhood meeting on Sunday December 6th. Before the meeting began, we had a specialist talking about our sprinkler system and the fact part of the building is not included. The Brotherhood plans on handling this project, which requires wiring. Bob Singer and Gary Baum
