From NECHAMA’s Facebook page:
NECHAMA is on the ground in Baton Rouge ramping up our flood response. We are assisting our friends at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Their main facility went under & lost over 120,000 lbs of food. They serve an estimated 25,000 meals a day so its vitally important that they get back online and fast. We got to work as soon as a truck arrived from our HQ in #Minnesota.
Additionally we have staff that are out assessing household needs in Baton Rouge & working to secure a base of operations for us. We are connecting with the local Jewish community and others…More to come. #tikkunolam Donate: www.NECHAMA.org/donate
