Beth Shalom’s Rabbi Natan Trief will be one of the speakers during St. James Episcopal Church’s “Glory and Gumbo” preaching series on Fridays during Lent (March 3 – April 7). Rabbi Natan will speak on Friday, March 10, from 12:05 – 12:30 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church at the corner of 4th and Convention in downtown Baton Rouge.

Rabbi Natan is the only non-Christian speaker to be featured during the St. James Glory and Gumbo series. Other speakers include Catholic, Episcopal and Methodist faith leaders. You can read more about the event and the speakers here.

St. James also sells gumbo during the speaking series as a fundraiser for its Episcopal Church Women’s outreach project. Chicken and sausage or shrimp gumbo, salad, bread and dessert is available between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. each Friday for $12.
