Earlier this summer, a number of teens from the Baton Rouge Jewish community volunteered as Dream Street Staff! For those who aren’t familiar – Camp Dream Street is a one week sleep away camp for children with physical and related cognitive disabilities sponsored by NFTY Southern. Dream Street provides an environment for children with disabilities to simply be children. Given the special needs of the campers, each teen staff member is assigned an individual camper and the pair participates in all meals, programs, and day to day activities together. We are so proud of our amazing teens for volunteering their time and hard work to Camp Dream Street!
